SPORTSMAN FISHING HUNTING SHOOTING 1st visit range

Are you planning your 1st visit to our Indoor Pistol Range? You should read this first. It will answer the most commonly asked questions customers have on their 1st visit.

SO, WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW FOR MY 1ST VISIT?

GENERAL INFORMATION

Our indoor range is PISTOL CALIBER ONLY. Any rifles chambered in pistol caliber can be fired here as well (such as .22 rifles or 9mm Carbines). We do NOT allow high powered rifles or shotguns to be used on the range.

You are NOT allowed to draw from a holster and/or rapid fire* on the range (except for the classes held by 1st Defense Training or for active law enforcement with specific permission upon entry).

All guests will be required to show ID (over 21), watch an 8 minute safety video, and sign a waiver.

AMMUNITION

Due to possible safety issues, Steel Case Ammunition is NOT allowed. But, brass and aluminum case are fine. If you are shooting reloaded ammunition, we ask that you not shoot “Hot Loads” or “Hardball”.**

TARGETS

Targets must be purchased here at the Sportsman, but splatter stickers can be applied to our target if you would like.

RENTALS

We do have rental handguns available for $10 per handgun. Sadly, you may need to bring ammo for the rentals due to the ammo shortage. Feel free to call before you come to make sure we have what you need.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

You MUST be 21 or older to go onto the range without a parent or court appointed guardian. Although, the parent or guardian does not have to go on the range if they choose to let the minor shoot with another adult, they MUST stay on the premises for the entire range visit.

Ex. Grandpa Joe wants to take Little Jimmy out for some range time.
Jimmy’s mom, Jennifer will have to come to the facility with them, sign the waiver,
and stay for the length of the visit even though she isn’t going onto the range with them.

We hope you enjoy your 1st visit to our range!

*Rapid fire is considered two consecutive shots with less than 2 seconds between them. If you are rapid firing management may ask you to leave, without a refund.

**Hot Loads refer to ammunition that has been reloaded with more than the recommended amount of powder. Hardball refers to ammunition in which the projectile is comprised of any material other than lead, i.e. steel, copper, etc.
