Why Did I Create The Well Armed Woman As A Resource For Women Gun Owners?

When I began thinking about purchasing and carrying a gun several years ago, there was no single resource for a woman gun owner and shooter. I was frustrated and disappointed to discover that there were so few resources out there that provided straight forward, and complete information and products geared specifically toward me as a woman gun owner in this male-driven industry. The information I did find was often condescending and sometimes, downright insulting and the products just didn’t fit my female body or my lifestyle. They simply weren’t talking to me or meeting my needs as a woman interested in gun ownership. There was a great divide between women’s interest in guns and the male dominated “camo and ammo” firearm industry. Now, The Well Armed Woman is the complete resource for the woman gun owner.

I’ll introduce you to the ins and outs of armed self-defense, gun ownership, gun safety, shooting skills and products for women shooters. We’ll discuss everything from permits to holsters and we’ll do it in a candid and concise manner. I created The Well Armed Woman, LLC to be a complete resource without fluff or frills for women gun owners of all ages.

Here you’ll find everything you need to make well informed decisions about the role of firearms in your life whether you are a new or experienced gun owner. The Well Armed Woman Instructor program provides instructor certification courses to meet the unique needs of female students. We have certified more than 225 female instructors all over the country. The Well Armed Woman has designed a line of holsters specifially for women and carries those that work well and fit women’s bodies. We carry a variety of products that meet the needs of the women shooter

The Well Armed Woman, LLC will also provide a much needed sense of community to this growing but often ignored group of women. Our Facebook page is a very active and dynamic community where we discuss and share improtant topics and advice! TWAW Shooting Chapters is a non-profit organization that organizes local groups of women around the country that meet monthly to practice, learn and grow as shooters. Creating opportunities for women to be introduced to issues important to women shooters, learn safe gun handling skills and train together. We have 280 chapters in 49 states!
